umtree is null or not and object

I am using IE7 and Mozilla both with the same issue.
The menu doesn't seem to initialize.....
I am using the PHP setup have followed all instruction from the manual
and am getting the following debug info from IE :
'umtree' is null or not an object
The table holding the menu opens with the code and menu items visible -
the text and colors are perfect...
can you help?

Can you post a link to your udm installation? That might help us troubleshoot the problem faster.
